Lina Selander

Lina Selander (b. 1973 in Stockholm, Sweden) works with video, photography, text and sound. In her works these different media often come together to emphasize or uncover new structures in the material. Impressions and registrations of reality are filtered through different media and folded into dense images. Images, which examine the metamorphosis of time and memory as well as the relationship between narration and abstraction.

She holds a BA from School of Photography and Film at University of Göteborg and has furthermore studied at Royal University College of Fine Arts, Stockholm. Her works have been exhibited internationally, most recently the Bucharest Biennale 4 and Museo de Bellas Artes, Salta, Argentina. Earlier screenings and exhibitions include institutions like Moderna Museet, Stockholm, Ginza Art Lab, Tokyo, The Netherlands Media Art Institute, Amsterdam and ICA Institute of Contemporary Arts, London. She lives and works in Stockholm.
